Draft Plan in Review – Public Input Coming Soon!

City staff are currently conducting a thorough review of the draft Biodiversity and Urban Forest Plan. Because of the plan’s scope and importance, teams from across the organization are examining it closely to ensure it meets departmental needs, supports collaboration across divisions, and establishes a strong foundation for protecting and enhancing biodiversity and the urban forest.

Once this internal review is complete, the draft plan will be posted on this project webpage during the week of September 29, 2025. Posting it early will give the community time to read and share feedback ahead of two key commission meetings: the Parks and Recreation Commission on October 8, 2025 and the Environmental Planning Commission on October 15, 2025. Both meetings will offer further opportunities for public input, helping ensure the final plan reflects community insights and priorities.
