Please join us on Thursday, April 22nd from 6 pm-8:30 pm for our Virtual Earth Day Event! We’ll be having speakers from the Planet Bee Foundation, Acterra, Recology, and Cool Block. Community members will also be giving 5-minute ‘micro talks’ about how they’re “Restoring the Earth.” And finally, we’ll be announcing the winners of the city's video and poster contests live during the event.

EARTH DAY VIDEO CONTEST
VIDEO TOPIC
Create a video, up to 90 seconds, that tells us how you restore the earth.
HOW TO ENTER
You may enter as an individual or a group. All participants must submit an entry form at bit.ly/MVEarthDay2021. If an entrant or member of the group is under 18 years of age, a parent’s permission is required.
• The deadline for submissions is Monday, April 19, 2021, by 5:00 pm.
• No late entries will be eligible for consideration by the judges.
WHAT WILL THE WINNERS RECEIVE?
The first-place winner will receive a $100 gift card to Mountain View businesses, and the second-place winner will receive a $50 gift card. Your video may be aired on the City's website and through other City media.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
An entrant must be a resident of Mountain View or affiliated with a business, organization, or school that has operated in Mountain View for a minimum of one year. You may include people in your video who do not qualify as an entrant.
Please provide one of the following that qualifies you/your group as an entrant:
• Home address
• School name and address
• Business name and address
• Organization name and address
Individual Entrant or Group Contact Information
Please provide all the following items. For a group, please select one spokesperson for us to contact if there are any questions regarding your video submission.
• Title of video
• Name (entrant/spokesperson)
• Phone
GROUP PROJECTS
List all participants in your video project. (Only the group spokesperson needs to list all the participants. If you are completing the entry form as a member of a group, you may skip this step.)

HOW WILL ENTRIES BE JUDGED?
Entries will be judged on creativity, educational value, and message effectiveness. The winners will be determined by the judges at their sole discretion in accordance with the contest rules.

• The video may not exceed 90 seconds. • Provide a link to your video on YouTube, Vimeo, etc.
EARTH DAY YOUR WAY! STUDENT POSTER CONTEST
We’re celebrating Earth Day this year in a creative way. Announcing the Mountain View Earth Day Poster Contest! Students K-12 are encouraged to enter. The five age brackets for entry are grades K-1, 2-3, 4-5, 6-8, 9-12. All you have to do is create a poster around one of the following themes:
• Environmental Health
• Clean Water
• Clean Air
• Clean Land
• Food and the Environment
• Plastic Pollution
• Sea Level Rise
• Sustainability and Resilience
HOW TO ENTER
Scan your poster or take a picture and submit it at bit.ly/MVEarthDay2021. The deadline for submissions is Monday, April 19, 2021 by 5:00 pm.

Acompáñanos el jueves 22 de abril, de 6 a 8:30 pm, en nuestro evento virtual del Día de la Tierra. Tendremos ponentes de la fundación Planet Bee, Acterra, Recology y Cool Block. CONCURSO DE VIDEOS DEL DÍA DE LA TIERRA
VIDEO TEMÁTICO
Crear un video, de hasta 90 segundos, donde nos cuente cómo restablece la tierra.
CÓMO PARTICIPAR
Puede participar como individuo o como grupo. Todos los participantes deben presentar un formulario de inscripción en bit.ly/MVEarthDay2021. Si un participante o miembro del grupo es menor de 18 años, se requiere el permiso de los padres.
- La fecha límite de entrega es el lunes 19 de abril de 2021, antes de las 5:00 pm.
- Los jueces no tendrán en cuenta los trabajos presentados después de fecha límite.
¿QUÉ RECIBIRÁN LOS GANADORES?
El ganador del primer lugar recibirá una tarjeta regalo de 100 dólares de comercios de Mountain View, y el ganador del segundo puesto recibirá una tarjeta de regalo de 50 dólares. Su video podrá ser difundido en el sitio web de la ciudad y a través de otros medios de comunicación de la ciudad.

DÍA DE LA TIERRA A TU MANERA! CONCURSO DE POSTERS PARA ESTUDIANTES
Este año celebramos el Día de la Tierra de forma creativa. Anunciamos el concurso de pósteres del Día de la Tierra de Mountain View. Se anima a los estudiantes de K-12 a participar. Las cinco categorías de edad para participar son los grados K-1, 2-3, 4-5, 6-8, 9-12. Todo lo que tiene que hacer es crear un póster en torno a uno de los siguientes temas:
- Salud ambiental
- Agua limpia
- Aire limpio
- Tierra limpia
- Alimentación y medio ambiente
- Contaminación por plásticos
- Aumento del nivel del mar
- Sostenibilidad y resiliencia
CÓMO ENTRAR
Escanee su póster o haga una foto y envíelo a bit.ly/MVEarthDay2021. La fecha límite de presentación es el lunes 19 de abril de 2021 antes de las 5:00 p.m.
