Plant-Based Eating Fall Challenge

Welcome to our Plant-Based Eating Fall Challenge! These are five actions you can take to make your diet more sustainable and easier on the planet. Which actions will you commit to this fall?

1.

I commit to eating meat free at least one day a week for a month.

You can also try eating less red meat overall, or try a vegetarian or vegan diet for a month! Check out MeatlessMonday.com or Greenmondayus.org.
2.

I commit to attending a plant-based eating event to learn more.

Sign up for our next plant-based eating event or check out Acterra's Healthy Plate, Healthy Planet for more events.
3.

I commit to shopping for local produce at a farmers' market.

Mountain View has a wonderful Farmer's Market every Sunday morning. Check out their website at http://www.cafarmersmkts.com
4.

I commit to trying out a few plant-based recipes this holiday season.

Check out Minimalist Baker and Zero Waste Chef for some plant-based recipe ideas.
5.

I commit to trying a new plant-based dish from a local Mountain View restaurant.

There are so many wonderful restaurants that offer vegetarian and vegan options in Mountain View. Try out a new dish!
